- ISO 14040 / 14044
- The principles and framework for life-cycle assessment (LCA) — the backbone of every product carbon calculation. CarbonSig’s calculation engine is ISO 14040/44-compliant.
- ISO 14067
- The international standard for the carbon footprint of a product (PCF). CarbonSig calculates a product carbon footprint to ISO 14067.
- ISO 14064-3
- The standard for validating and verifying greenhouse-gas statements. The Verifier Hub is aligned to ISO 14064-3, so an independent verifier reviews to a recognised standard.
- GHG Protocol — Product & Scope 3
- The most widely used greenhouse-gas accounting framework, including the Product Life Cycle and Scope 3 standards. CarbonSig supports the GHG Protocol Product Standard; the system model tags every input to Scope 1, 2 or 3.
- PAS 2050
- The earlier publicly available specification for product carbon footprints that helped shape ISO 14067. CarbonSig calculates to ISO 14067, the current product-footprint standard in this lineage.
- Product Category Rules (PCRs)
- The category-specific rules that define exactly how an EPD is calculated (EN 15804 is the core PCR for construction). CarbonSig builds the underlying product LCA a PCR and its EPD require.

No. CarbonSig’s calculation engine follows ISO 14040/44 and calculates a product carbon footprint to ISO 14067, and that footprint can report to schemes like CBAM, EPD and CSRD. Certification and verification are carried out by independent, accredited third parties — not by CarbonSig.
Does one model really work for every standard?
Yes. You build the product once as a connected system model, and the same data set produces the number each scheme asks for — CBAM, 45V, EPD, CORSIA or CSRD — without rebuilding it for each one.
Which standard applies to me?
It depends on your market and regulation: CBAM for goods imported into the EU, 45V for US clean hydrogen, EPD (EN 15804) for construction products, CORSIA for aviation fuels, and CSRD (ESRS E1) for large companies reporting in the EU.
